Think2Speak don't do 'Black Friday' - here's why

Hello fellow ally,

We hope this week has been kind to you.

As you are aware, Black Friday is fast approaching. Think2Speak will not be another email in your inbox full of deals and scarcity as we are not taking part in one of the “busiest shopping days of the year”, and we want to share why.

  1. We are a Social Enterprise. Therefore, every penny of profit that we raise from the sales of our products goes straight back into providing support for the communities we serve. For example, it allows us to help more transgender children get the vital support that they need through our Hodgpodge group. Discounting our products will reduce our ability to help the children and families who need us the most.

  2. Our products are worth their prices. All of our products are designed specifically for Think2Speak. A lot of thought, time, heart and talent goes into each one. Profit is never our goal, but being here to support people is. Each of our products is designed to help people take a step towards the conversation that they’d like to have.

  3. We don’t care about “accelerating sales”. We believe our products will stand the test of time. They won’t be unfashionable in a few months, like fast fashion brands, so there is no need to sell out of stock.

  4. We want to build a sustainable and long-lasting social enterprise. The services we provide will be needed for a very long time and we want to be able to continue to deliver them. Relying on flash sales and discounts is not the right model for us. Ours needs a long term strategy with a clear vision to succeed.

Even though we will not be offering discounted products to you this Friday, our promise to you remains the same.

We will do everything in our power to support people who need our help by delivering quality services and products to keep meaningful conversations flowing, whilst also raising vital funds.

We want to THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for your continuous support!

Sending happiness and love,

Lizzie and the Think2Speak team x
