Pronoun badges to spark off conversations around gender diversity

We have launched a series of badges promoting gender diversity and the use of gender pronouns.

The badges are part of a collaboration with celebrated art illustrator Rebecca Strickson, who uses her art to promote important messages on social issues. The new collection ‘Pronouns Matter’ features pin badges, embroidered patches, notebooks and art prints all raising vital funds for Think2Speak’s work with transgender children and young people.

Lizzie Jordan, Founder and CEO of Think2Speak, said: “‘Pronouns are important to transgender and gender-questioning people; wearing a pronoun badge is a visual cue to being an LGBTQ+ ally and also make great conversation starters.”

“Rebecca’s work explores the power of community and working together, and the strength and fun of colour and pattern. We need to be doing more to support transgender people and wearing a pronoun badge is a very easy first step towards a more inclusive society.”

Born in rural Lincolnshire, Rebecca graduated from Goldsmiths College in 2002 and she has spent the last 10 years creating visuals for global ad campaigns, editorial images and design for clients such as Royal Mail, Leon, Sony, Rapha, O2, Nike and Channel 4.

Claire Birkenshaw, Think2Speak’s Patron, said “Not only is the range stylish and fab but they are super micro-affirmation wellbeing devices. I can assure you pronouns do matter. Well done Think2Speak.”

Those wearing the badges or using the stationery are being encouraged to share their photos via the hashtag #ThinkPronouns to encourage more discussion around the issue and to spread awareness.

The badges, patches and stationery are on sale now!
