British Red Cross Teaching Resource for Refugee Week 2019: "You, me and those who came before"

The British Red Cross has designed a new teaching resource for this year’s Refugee Week on the theme of “You, me and those who came before”. Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 students are encouraged to explore the generations of refugees throughout history and the reasons why they decided to leave their homes. The resources include a separate primary and secondary school PowerPoint, a list of key facts to share with students and an activities guide. The resource can be used in PSHE, RSE, Citizenship and Geography lessons.

National Autistic Society Educational Resources for Autism Awareness Week

The National Autistic Society has developed a set of resources for use in primary and secondary schools to help empower students to learn about autism in a positive and evidence-based way to mark Autism Awareness Week.

Resources include videos featuring young people who are autistic, assembly PowerPoints, tutor time activities and posters to put up in the classroom.
