The Women and Equalities Committee have published a report on the social inequalities faced by Gypsy, Traveller and Roma communities, covering topics such as education and health.
Findings from the report include:
entrenched stereotypes in schools leads to children being taken out of education
fear of children being removed from parents’ care prevents families accessing social services,
a lack of data on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities leads to a failure to tackle these inequalities.
