HodgePodge is Think2Speak's trans youth group open to young children age 13 and under, their families and carers, where a member of the family is transgender or gender questioning .
HodgePodge is a safe and supportive space:
- For children to explore their gender identity if they're questioning, be themselves if they're not out, have an opportunity to chat about trans stuff if they're stealth - a safe space to simply be themselves
- For transgender and gender questioning children to meet their peers in a safe, relaxed and supportive environment
- For children living with a transgender or gender questioning parent, carer or family member to meet other gender diverse children and their families
- For parents, carers and family members who are supporting a transgender or gender questioning child to meet each other for support
The group meets monthly on the last Wednesday of each month 6-7.30pm for a social in Lincoln and the group is free of charge to attend. The location of the meeting is kept private so ensure the confidentiality of everyone who attends. We require any child or young person attending the group to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
HodgePodge is facilitated by a team of DBS checked volunteers, all of whom have experience of supporting transgender or gender questioning children or who are LGBTQ+ themselves.
If you would like to join HodgePodge please complete the form below and we will be in touch for a quick chat. We take confidentiality and safeguarding seriously so as to ensure the privacy of all of our HodgePodge members.
