HodgePodge is Think2Speak's trans youth group open to young children age 13 and under, their families and carers, where a member of the family is transgender or gender questioning .
HodgePodge is a safe and supportive space:
For children to explore their gender identity if they're questioning, be themselves if they're not out, have an opportunity to chat about trans stuff if they're stealth - a safe space to simply be themselves
For transgender and gender questioning children to meet their peers in a safe, relaxed and supportive environment
For children living with a transgender or gender questioning parent, carer or family member to meet other gender diverse children and their families
For parents, carers and family members who are supporting a transgender or gender questioning child to meet each other for support
The group meets monthly on the last Wednesday of each month 5:30 - 7pm for a social in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and the group is free of charge to attend. We require any child or young person attending the group to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
HodgePodge is facilitated by a team of DBS checked volunteers, all of whom have experience of supporting transgender or gender questioning children or who are LGBTQ+ themselves.
